Power and boot up

Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 connector jack on the back of your Rendu player. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a router that has access to the internet. If you do not have an ethernet connection in your audio room a local electrician can install one for you for a reasonable price. As a last resort, you can get a Home Plug Ethernet adapter that uses your home's power wires to extend your network. This a good Home Plug Ethernet adapter.

Connect your 6v - 9v DC power supply to your Rendu player. The DC power connector accepts a 5.5mm x 2.1mm jack.

Do not use more than 9v or you will damage your Rendu player.

Wait approximately 60 seconds for your Rendu player to boot up and it should be ready to use.

Accessing your Rendu player's administration and configuration page

From any web browser on your home network enter the URL www.sonicorbiter.com to locate your Rendu player's web based managment interface.

Click manage next to the Rendu player you want to configure.

You should now see your Rendu player's web based managment interface. From here you can set up your player to work the way you want.

Attaching your USB DAC

At this point, you should attach your USB DAC to your Rendu player. Use a good quality USB cable.

Using a web browser on your computer or tablet go to www.sonicorbiter.com -> Manage -> Apps -> DAC Diagnostic. You should see your DAC there.

Press the Set DAC to MAX volume button. This will keep the dreaded double volume control from happening.
