Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 connector jack on the back of the microRendu. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a router that has access to the internet. If you do not have an ethernet connection in your audio room a local electrician can install one for you for a reasonable price. As a last resort, you can get a Home Plug Ethernet adapter that uses your home's power wires to extend your network. This a good Home Plug Ethernet adapter.
Connect your 6v - 9v DC power supply to the microRendu. The DC power connector accepts a 5.5mm x 2.1mm jack.
Do not use more than 9v or you will damage your microRendu.
Wait approximately 60 seconds for the microRendu to boot up and it should be ready to use.
From any web browser on your home network enter the URL www.sonicorbiter.com to locate the microRendu's GUI.
Click manage next to the microRendu you want to configure.
You should now see the microRendu's configuration and administration web page. From here you can set up your player to work the way you want.
At this point, you should attach your USB DAC to your microRendu. Use the small USB cable provided or some other good quality USB cable.
Using a web browser on your computer or tablet go to sonicorbiter.com -> Manage -> Apps -> DAC Diagnostic. You should see your DAC there.
Press the Set DAC to MAX volume button. This will keep the dreaded double volume control from happening.
You are now ready to select a player app. The microRendu supports many different applications including RoonReady, DLNA, and HQplayer.
Using a web browser on your computer or tablet go to sonicorbiter.com -> Manage -> Settings. From here select the player app you want to use. Make any configuration changes you want and press Save Changes.
